Missions
Here at RRBC, we believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only answer to man’s great need. For that reason, we want the message of the cross to be central in every facet of church life — when we gather for worship, in our homes, in our ministry to Wilson or around the world. J.I. Packer says,
“The gospel does bring us solutions to [man’s] problems, but it does so by first solving the deepest of all human problems, the problem of man’s relation with his Maker; and unless we make it plain that the solution of these former problems depends on the settling of this latter one, we are misrepresenting the message and becoming false witnesses of God.”
Scripture is clear, the joy and mandate of each believer to make Christ known for God’s glory, the churches joy, and the good of a lost and dying world extends far beyond the walls of our own homes, church, and community alone. We have been commissioned to be involved in the declaration of the gospel “to the ends of the earth” (Psalm 96:1-3, Matthew 10:27-28m 28:19-20, Romans 10:14-18, 1 Thessalonians 2:8).
Therefore, we desire for our church family to have individual knowledge, personal connection, and intentional care for our mission partners and works overseas. The New Testament provides us God’s missional road map, and RRBC has been called to be at the very center of this missionary mandate whether we find ourselves giving, praying, or going as a church for God’s glory.
