What is a Discipleship Hour Elective? 

Discipleship Hour Electives are a weekly combination of lecture/discussion styled classes that meet prior to our coffee/fellowship time, and corporate worship services with the intent of further equipping/training teachers within our church, promoting deeper Christian maturity together in our knowledge and understanding of Christ and His Word, and giving opportunity for greater fellowship and acquaintance among the differing segments of our church family.

What Information is Covered in a Discipleship Hour Elective? 

Any given class may cover: Biblical overview (e.g. books of the Bible, parables of Jesus, the Sermon on the Mount), theological/doctrinal studies, church history, or practical life application as believers (e.g. marriage/family, evangelism, discipleship, missions, apologetics).  

 

How Often Are New Classes Offered?  

These classes span between the months of September – May. We seek to offer at least three electives at any time with a duration of between 6-12 weeks for individuals to choose. Missed a class that you really wanted to attend? Don’t worry, as some classes may come back around. 

 

Who May Attend a Discipleship Hour Elective? 

In all actuality, anyone and everyone is welcomed. However, childcare is available for birth through pre-K and there are also classes for our elementary school and middle school students during this same timeframe. Therefore, these classes are more specifically designed for High School aged student and onward within our church.
