Student Ministry
Colossians 1:28-29
Purpose:
The Student Ministry of RRBC exists to equip, champion, and encourage each student to know, love, and grow in Christ, as well as grow in their own personal knowledge of scripture with greater clarity and conviction. We seek to meet these goals not merely in our personal attention and ministry to each individual student, however, we also value coming alongside to equip, champion, and encourage each parent/guardian to better understand their God-given privilege and role in becoming the primary disciple-maker and example for each child represented within their homes.
Student Ministry Core Values:

Biblically Saturated and Christ-Centered:
God reveals Himself and His gospel though His Word, the Bible. The Word of God is our supreme authority in all matters of faith, worship, life, and witness and one cannot truly understand how to honor Christ apart from His Word, therefore, such will serve as the foundation of our student ministries.

Age Focused:
We understand that there is great value in ministries with age focused exposure in peer group settings (e.g. student camp, “just for students” events/studies). This is why we will plan age specific events and ministry focuses throughout the yearly life and ministry of the church which seeks to cater a bit this reality.

Intergenerational Exposure:
However, we also see great value in our kids seeing and experiencing the faith and love of the greater expression of the church (i.e. intergenerational wisdom and witness). We believe our witness is stronger when both our young and old learn from and respect one another in being Christ’s disciples.

Safe and Seen:
We prioritize the health and safety of each teen as we encourage each to know, love, and grow in Christ and His Word. Therefore, RRBC unapologetically follows a child safety policy for which each child volunteer must be a member in good standing with our church, must pass a background check, and receive continual training. Simply
put, we put a high value on the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of each child in our care here at RRBC.
