GROWTH GROUPS

STARTING THIS FALL

While our corporate services are both foundational and vital for the overall growth of our life and ministry as a church, we also recognize that our corporate services alone are not God’s only design for our spiritual growth and maturity as believers. We believe that the healthiest of churches embody the identity of a family, and family is not confined merely to a single day of the week or single day on a calendar. While God has given us the scriptures and His Spirit for our personal growth, nonetheless, he has also given us each other! It is within this community; that we are called to celebrate together the common salvation that we have received in Christ.

We all have struggles and needs, many of which are most often ministered to within the smaller, more routine expressions of church life. Therefore, in seeking to help foster deeper interactions with other believers for the purpose of growth in God’s Word, fellowship, personal encouragement, and prayer - RRBC has prioritized the establishment of gospel-centered small groups known as Growth Groups which meet throughout the week in homes and other locations throughout our community.

In a Nutshell - Growth Groups are Intentional (bi-monthly) mid-week gatherings which seek to foster growth in God’s Word and prayer, Christian fellowship, and multiplication for God’s glory!

What is the Focus of Each Growth Group?

  • Growth in God’s Word: Provide an environment for deeper growth in our love and knowledge of Scripture. This we seek to accomplish through studies through books of the Bible and/or the reading and mutual study of Christian books together as a church.

  • Growth in Fellowship and Prayer: Provide an environment for the sharing of one another’s burdens, personal struggles, questions, and even confession. One of the overarching realities of Growth Groups is for individuals to find a community where openness is being fostered in such a way as to lead to the mutual praying and encouragement of one another.

  • Growth Through Multiplication and Outreach: Provide an opportunity to reach out and invite others (i.e. friends, neighbors, and co-workers) into a community of people who care. While we seek for our people to grow in their love and knowledge of God’s Word and feel connected in beneficial ways with the whole of our fellowship, we also desire for individuals outside RRBC to come to know Christ and the Gospel through these intentional groups as well.
